I'm looking at the ASI585MC quantum efficiency chart and it seems really high for absolute quantum efficiency.
I have data on CMOS sensors going back years and including very recent ones and typically you have a peak mono CMOS sensor efficiency of 91-94% for modern CMOS sensors and the CFA (color filter array) dyes typically peak at 85% (plus or minus). And the peaks don't always align, but even if they do, the total is usually maxes at 75-80% peak for green in absolute quantum efficiency for a modern color CMOS cameras.
So how am I supposed to interpret this chart? If it is, in fact, the absolute quantum efficiency then it's so much higher than anything I've seen! Going from 75-80% to 91% in one generation? That's why I ask, I'm trying to understand how this really compares to my ASI485MC.
