I've been trying to connect my backyard equipment directly to my laptop inside my house without having to use a pc at the telescope. I've finally succeeded in connecting my mount (paramount mx+) to the TSX software on my laptop via a usb/ethernet adapter and a cat7 cable. I can also get my Celestron focuser and my ASI 224mc camera to connect to the TSX software. However, my ASI 1600mm Pro and ASI 2600mc Pro cameras keep coming up an error "camera not connected" when I try to connect them to the TSX software. Both Pro cameras have the red light on that indicates they are getting power and both cooling fans are working. All three cameras use the same usb cable and same connection to the mount and laptop.
Has anyone had any experience with being able to connect a non-cooled ZWO camera, but not the cooled ones to a pc? When I connect to a pc at the telescope via a usb cable and then to my laptop via a cat7 cable (through Remote Desktop) I have no problems connecting all three cameras to the TSX software on my laptop. Any ideas why the Pro cameras won't connect via a direct connection to my laptop, but the 224mc will? I have the ASCOM Platform and the ASI driver downloaded on my laptop. Am I missing some other software that connects the Pro cameras that I have on my pc at the telescope when I use it, but have forgotten to download on my laptop?
Thanks for your help!
