alainzu I have access to the image storage of the asiair but whenever I try to transfer image files to the computer, the speed is very low (300 to 450 ko/sec)?
That is definitely not right. With a Cat6 cable, I get about 80 to 95 MBytes/sec (about 750 Mbits/sec peak) between an ASIAIR and a Mac Studio Ultra, when transfering large FITS files.
An Ethernet switch is in between the ASIAIR and the Mac (the switch is then connected to an eero mesh unit). By doing that, I ensure that all data goes through only Ethernet and not through WiFi from the base router.
Make sure your computer is connected to the LAN port of ASIAIR instead of connecting the WiFi Station Mode of the ASIAIR. Turn off the WiFi of your computer to check for sure.
Don't use 10/100 cables; use at least 10/100/1000 cables (i.e., Cat5e or faster. Cat5 is only spec'ed to 100 Mbps for long cable runs); higher speed (like Cat7) than 1 Gbps is wasted, since the speed will be limited by the ASIAIR; but other than that, the faster cables should work fine.
