I recently purchased the Pier Extension PE200 for my AM5 mount. I mainly got it for the Sky Watcher adapter plate so I could use the AM5 mount with my EQ6 steel tripod. I will be receiving an Edge 9.75" scope in a few months and wanted to use my steel tripod with it. However, the bolt on the tripod does not fit the adapter plate; it is just a little bit too large. I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this problem, and if so, what can be done about it.
