AM5 without AsiAir, is it worth it?

I am trying to decide between an AM5 and another brand's harmonic mount, my question is if I don't have an ASIAIR, because my cameras are not ASI, is it worth it to get the AM5?
I don't want an ASIAir since my main dedicated camera is not ASI and the asiair does not support other brand’s cameras.
The question here is if I can use the AM5 with apps like NINA, astroberry or indigo Sky without too much hassle or if the AM5 is best if used with the asiair to get better integration or results.

I've been using an AM5 with NINA for the last two weeks. I'm using the latest beta firmware (v1.2.3) and the ASCOM driver that you can find in another thread in this forum.

So far the results have been excellent.

Have no fear Astrokika, the AM5 mount can be driven via ASCOM and that opens up may possible permutations of gear and software. I drive it using AstroArt8 or CdC and guide with AA8 or PHD and a Lodestar.

Thank you guys, another question, a friend tells me to wait for the next version of the AM5 mount, is there any info about the next version release? He said it will come with upgrades, like any other second version. I am trying to decide between the AM5 and the Pegasus NYX-101 (a beauty but super expensive).

Hmm...there will always be another product coming out soon. The pace of change in mount technology is quite high at the moment. In my case I took the plunge with an AM5, I wanted a portable AP capable mount and got one so I am happy. What does your friend suggest the next version will have that you need? Higher load capacity? Take a look at the iOptrons? Encoders? Same. Or Rainbows ($$$!). Pegasus, Sharpstar, maybe - probably too soon to say. Isn't it nice to be spoilt for choice :-)
