All Sky alignment and tracking?

Hi. My views are SSW to West and I am 60 degrees North. I have no view within 90 degrees of the NCP.
When trying to use 'all sky alignment' I point SW (Dec approx +20 degrees and 2hrs 30' RA start).
As a result the star field is constantly moving and this means I am chasing my tail when trying to polar align using ASA, as successive plate solves seem to be effected by the drift and I cannot zero the error.
Should I have tracking enabled on my mount and is there any benefit to using the shorter focal length guide scope (180mm and 2.4 pixel) rather than my main scope (420mm and 3.75 pixel)?

Ist's a Software-Bug in Ver 2.0. Tracking ist disabled in AllSky PA. Try Ver 1.9.1

Thanks, so when using all sky alignment should tracking be turned on? I've not updated to V2 yet...

Pariah Pretty much so - if the mount is not tracking and points away from NCP the stars will be moving continuously.
You need the tracking enabled.

Pleased to say I sorted this out. I set up my mount (SXD2) with an approximate PA, using compass and altitude, and start tracking (not using AsiAirPro, but Starbook 10)
I then do an all sky PA using AAP, manually rotating the RA axis for the plate solves using the SXD2 slew buttons.
PA adjustments quickly result in a fairly accurate PA
I then reset and do it a second time and it gives consistent results within a few arc minutes, guiding is OK
