I use both ASIAIR and NINA at different times and noticed there appears to be a feature gap with the ASCOM EAF config screen. In ASIAIR I can edit the current position, but in the ASCOM EAF config dialog I can only set the current position to zero (no edit feature).
The edit current position feature is needed when, for example, the backlash may not be perfectly set and over time the focuser zero position drifts away from true zero. In other words when the EAF's current position is set to zero, but the draw tube gage is actually at 0.5cm. With the ASIAIR I can edit the current position (0) and change it to 200, then goto 0 and do this a few times until I get the draw tube to be at actual zero. Once it is physically correct, I can edit the current position to be 0 and be synced up correcly.
As far as I can see when using the ASCOM driver there is no way to do the above zeroing process. Please add the edit current position feature to the ASCOM EAF config dialog. Also if there is a way to do the above zeroing with the ASCOM driver or other windows software that I have missed please let me know.
