I know the correct answer for this is "get a GOTO mount", but my current Star Adventurer is working really well for me, and other than GOTO I have no reason to upgrade at the moment.
So before I got my ASIAIR, I would manually dial in my DEC axis with plate solving, then roughly get RA sorted before using the Star Adventurer PC app to precisely rotate the RA over USB to the final location. This was all done on my mini PC, and the RA piece I could do from inside. Now I have to either do RA painstakingly slowing using the RA buttons on the tracker, or flick between WiFi networks and apps on my mobile...
If ASIAIR could plate solve and GOTO using ST4, just in RA, that would be a game changer. I'm probably asking too much, but has anyone done something similar? Could the USBST4 adapter do something like this?
