When I am setting up a plan on my asiair and the in my house with the lens cap on my main camera and select a target I can view the target in sky atlas. The frame surrounding the target has a rotation angle notation. On my setup with my Redcat 5 and ASI533MC Pro I see an angle of 270.7 degrees. Where does that come from? Is there a way in plan mode for that angle to be changed? Does it in anyway represent what is actually being framed?

Hi svJim,

I believe if you put your ASI Air in "Preview mode" you can make adjustments to the angle so you can frame your target. Make the angle change in the ASI Air and it will tell you how many degrees either clockwise, notated by CW, or counter clockwise, notated by CCW, you need to turn your, focuser or the camera in the telescopes focuser or an angle adjuster mounted on the drawtube or somewhere in between the drawtube and the camera. I purchased a William Optics Camera Angle adjuster from AgenaAstro.com. Here are the details of my order in case you're interested:
William Optics Camera Angle Adjuster / Rotator with M54 Threads # M-CAA54 SKU# PAAR-WO-M-CAA54 $104.00.

They make them with different threads sizes as well, not just the M54 threads. Anyway, I have to say, it's been an extremely useful addition to the imaging train of my telescopes. Actually, I bought 3 of them all together once I found out how easy it makes doing the angle changes. You make the adjustment one time and you're done. That's it! Anyway, I know that sounds like a bloody commercial but every word of it is the truth. I have 2 of them on my 127mm x 950mm refractors and one on a Meade 14" LX850 SCT.

So, I hope this helps with your issue.
