Auto Flats creates weird pixels

I've used my ASIAir Plus with a 533MC Pro for several months to create flats using "auto" exposure with good success. However, in the last couple of weeks I've been getting ₅₀ of these weird pixel results (see attached close-up). What's strange is that when I use the same exposure, light, gain, temp, etc and just use "autorun"... I don't get them.

Any ideas of what the problem could be?
