ASIAIR plus firmware update fails

I have 2 ASIAIR plus boxes where firmware update from version 10,46 to 10,74 fails.
While the 1st (older) device runs the update and fails in the 2nd phase at 9% completion
during installation.
While the 1st device after update failure offers to skip firmware update
and thus can be used to imaging, the 2nd ASIAIR plus, which is newer, even not starts the
firmware transfer and hangs and therefor does not offer to skip the hardware update.
This means that my 2nd ASIAIR plus box is NO LONGER OPERATIONAL AT ALL!!!
I have contacted ZWO support without any success so far to resolve these issues...

VERY VERY unhappy!!!!

Who else has encountered problems?

We will follow it ，upgrade failure is a small probability event.
We plan to improve it next version.

My device is reconnecting after update fail.
I trying to send you email and didn't get any support.
My system and telescope is disable for now.

@phrazle When an update fails on the first device, an option to skip the firmware update is shown so that it may be used for imaging; on the second, a newer ASIAIR plus, the firmware transfer simply does not begin and the device freezes.

Make sure your mobile device has internet access via cell network connection.
Connect to your asiair plus, goto (i) about and select reset firmware function.
Before you reconnect to your asiair+, uninstall the asiair app from your mobile device, reboot, reinstall the current app and proceed with the firmware update. Note that you may be required to re-activate your asiair plus.

As a final note for android users, some have indicated that uninstalling, rebooting then downloading/sideloading the current 2.1 apk file from zwo's website has worked more consistently in resolving upgrade issues.

Bonzer2u they can't go to the about screen. When they restart the ASIAIR Plus and reconnect to it - it takes them straight to the firmware update page which just fails again.

At least that's my understanding.

roialmog Sorry for the trouble, could you contact ying.tang@zwoptical.com? we will solve this problem remotely.
In addition we also fixed this problem in the next version, should not appear in the future.
