I guess I answered my own question/post. Maybe someone else will find this useful in the future.
It only took about 2 minutes but I got the saddle reversed. You just remove the four allen head bolts on top of the saddle and flip it 180° and then put the bolts back. That was the easy part.
I knew before I reversed the saddle that the mount wasn't going to fit back in the case. It wouldn't drop in as slow and then the lid wouldn't close easily. ZWO kindly removed all the areas of that dense black foam to allow the mount to slide right in in the normal configuration. Unfortunately, they didn't sculpt out the bottom of the area where the saddle goes for the knobs. I guess they didn't anticipate that someone would reverse the saddle like I did.
So, I went to work with three knives and a razor blade and removed the foam in the area where the knobs were hitting. It's not pretty down there and the foam was a real PITA to remove. That stuff is dense and hard to cut! Anyway, it's done now and fits like a glove.
This should make it more comfortable for mounting the scope on the saddle at night. I'd rather lift with my right arm and tighten it with my left hand. Here's a couple pics.
