Serious problems with firecapture

I'm attempting to use firecapture 2.3beta08 with my celestron nexstar 8se, ZWO asi120mc, and a 2x Orion shorty Barlow.

For some reason the software keeps locking up on me. It'll run smooth and show a preview around 30fps, then it will just freeze for ten seconds, then free up again. This makes it really hard to use.

Also when I'm taking video, I want to make sure the planet stays in the frame, but with it freezing all the time it's hard to make slight adjustments.

Also while recording the fps will run at 20-30 for a while, then drop to 5. It's all over the place.

On a side note, since I'm just getting started here, can anyone point me to a useful tutorial for getting g the best possible results with firecapture? There doesn't seem to be good documentation on the ZWO asi120mc with firecapture.

I would suggest you can try to turn down "USBTraffic" value if it freeze sometimes

Hi Sam. I eventually found the USBTraffic setting and turned it down. It did seem to make a difference. I'm just wondering, is there a specific driver that works best on a 64bit Windows 7 machine? I'm wondering if the camera driver is causing all these glitches.

this is related to the USB bandwidth of the hardware

because ASI camera reached the maximum speed of USB2.0

driver can do nothing, so just turn down the speed if it cannot achieve
