"Recommended Scope Pointing" issue

I have had a number of odd issues with the Air since the resent firmware update. Most recently, was this error that popped up while trying to image M81. The target was clearly high in the North sky. The error suggested that mount was "far from the celestial equator"...and to "calibrate at declination of -30 to+30 deg." I'm not sure what the issue is but would appreciate an explanation from anyone. Thank you in advance.

That message is probably coming from the PHD2 guiding software. PHD2 wants the scope to be pointing near the meridian and the celestial equator when it does a calibration. If you haven't checked the box that says to reuse the existing calibration, the software will perform a fresh calibration when you start guiding. Maybe the checkbox got cleared when the update happened?

Or, it's something completely different, but I'd suggest checking that setting first.

Sorry, I found that option and it was checked. So I have another issue.
