I am not sure if the issue is with my mini PC or my camera.
I'm learning and loving my 2600MC but am experiencing what seems to be a USB communication issue. I am running a mini-PC on my mount that runs NINA and connects to the mount and cameras and USB hub etc. I have everything connecting through a powered USB hub EXCEPT the ASI2600MC which I have connected directly to a USB port on the mini PC. I'm using a USB 3.0 cable (blue plastic indicator), and have tried several different cables. I have not tried a USB 2.0 cable though, because I don't want to take the data-xfer speed hit. I do have a 10 amp, 12v power source plugged into the 2600 at all times.
The issue is that sometimes the camera goes into a non-responsive mode where if I'm in the middle of an exposure, it just freezes there. It won't finish the exposure or it does but won't download the image. When this happens, I have to disconnect the USB cable, remove power from it, then power it back on. Sometimes when this happens, it also causes my mini PC to freeze - not to the point of failure but if I'm connected to it with remote desktop, the connection drops. If I unplug the USB cable to the camera and power-cycle the camera then plug it all back in and try to remote desktop to the mini PC, everything is working again.
In ASCOM, I have the USB speed setting for the 2600MC turned all the way down to the left on the slider (I think the value is "40"). I have my mini PC's power settings set to never sleep, never drop power to the USB ports, always on, never sleep, Windows update disabled, etc.
The GOOD news is that this hasn't ever happened to me yet during an automated night of imaging. I find it happens most often when I set it all up and have to leave it alone for 30 mins or so without it doing anything or without my running any scripts in NINA or taking manual exposures. Another example where it will happen is, after a successful night of exposures where everything went off without a hitch for 7 hours, I'll go outside, slew the mount to zenith and run the flat wizard in NINA. At this point, the issue might happen as described above.
Given the issue, I have no way of knowing if it's the camera or my mini PC and I feel I've tried everything I can to pinpoint/fix the problem and I'm out of options so figured I would see if anyone has noticed anything similar and come up with a fix or could advise me on any other things to try that I haven't already outlined above?
Thank in advance!
