Adjusting the Azimuth locking levers on the sides of AM5

Is there a way to tighten up the plastic azimuth locking levers on the AM5?

Why do you want to do so?
The azimuth locking levers can be pulled up and change the directions.

I was having an issue where, after getting an excellent polar alignment and then tightening down the azimuth and altitude locking levers, my polar alignment moved a bit. I am wondering what's the best way to prevent that?

Don't have the locking levers completely loose while doing the PA. I have them half snug while doing the PA and as I get closer to finishing the adjustment I tighten them a bit more. Then finish tightening them as I finish the alignment.
