Difficulty to engage AM5 mount with app

Any idea why it takes me 3 to 5 attempts before my AM5 mount will register in the app? I'm using a direct Ethernet connection. I usually wind up turning off the ASIAIR Plus, then I turn off the mount. I then turn on the mount, then the air. Very frustrating. Any suggestions? I don't see any loose cables and once I get going all is fine throughout the night.

In which way your AIR and AM5 are powered?
It looks like the grounding/earthing/ground connection issue.

I'm using direct A/C current from my house plugged into a 12v, 5amp converter which is plugged into the AM5. I power the ASIAIR directly from the AM5.

Have you ever tried AC adapter directly power the ASIAIR and the AIR power the AM5?
Just make sure whether the situation remains.
