That is correct. If you are connected to the ASIAIR hotspot, you cannot reach the Internet.
Make sure the ASIAIR app in the iPad has already been granted Local Network capability (check in iPad Settings > Privacy & Security > ASIAIR), otherwise it will not see the ASIAIR device.
Select the ASIAIR hotspot in iPad WiFi settings. It might ask for a password ("12345678") if this is the first time. Wait for it to connect (green check mark). Then exit iPad Settings and launch ASIAIR app.
