Just setup a brand new AM5 with ASIAIR PLUS to test.
The mount had an Askar Fra 600 telescope, AsiAIR Plus, Askar FMA 180 guide scope , ZWO ASI 290mm guide camera, ZWO EAF and a Sony A7RIII on it. Well within acceptable weight tolerances. I turned everything on, went through all procedures with the AsiAIR, everything was recognized, no issues. I slewed the mounts DEC a little and then began to slew the RA and it sounds like rocks grinding !!! I immediately stopped, the DEC slewing was incredibly quiet and the RA was horrible sounding. This is a brand new mount just purchased last week and setup for the first time. Any ideas on the issue? What can I do to fix this? Thank you!
