"Sync Failure"

Last night I used an AA+ with a Celestron CGX and another AA+ with a ZWO AM5. I've used both recently, the AM5 on May 27. With each mount I polar aligned and focused, then when executing first GOTO, ASIAIR failed when trying. to center. "Sync failed 5 times" when attempting to confirm centered. I"ve not seen the "sync failed" message when centering before. It usually says "uncentered, trying again".

I looked for logs to send, but AA+ stores only AUTORUN and PLAN logs. I cannot find any other logs.

Please help.

I should have included that I was using ASIAIR v2.1.1

Further clarification. I ran ASIAIR on iPhone with one setup and iPad on the other. Got "Sync failure 5 times" error on both.

This is with Rokinon 135 on AM5.

If you have the situation in the picture, it is recommended that you check the connection of the mount. This may be because the mount connection was disconnected during the GoTo.
You can check whether the mount is connected normally through the arrow keys of the App Mount Control Panel

PMTeam@ZWO what are some other things it could be? I’ve replaced all cables, ensured correct location, and still have this issue. Never happened until 2 weeks ago. Happened once, then 2 weeks later now it happens every time. I have 2 AAP’s controlling 2 different AM5 and getting the same message on both. Why? How to fix it?

This is a possibility, but I suspect not. I synced location on the AM5 from my phone before starting, and double-checked location by entering it manually in the CGX. @PMTeam: I'll try replacing cables, but to have it happen on two different mounts is puzzling.

space_city_astro Did you ever resolve this issue. I've seen it show up on my AM3 during a GOTO at the beginning of a plan. I saw another thread somewhere that also stated it could be related to multiple remotes connected to the AM5/3 mount. I managed to apparently my issue with the sync failure by shutting everything down and connecting with a single remote. I also had another issue with DEC guiding which was totally way off the charts.
