ASI Air Plus Restarting When I GoTo Target

For the last few nights all was going fine with my setup. Then, last night when I tried to auto slew to my target for the night my ASI Air restarted a second or two after I initiated the GoTo from the ASI software. Once the ASI restarts I try to initiate the goto again, and once again it restarts.

I am powering my ASI Air with a 12v 5a power adapter plugged into main power. My mount and camera are both being powered through the ASI Air. I thought it was the power to the mount so I powered it with its own 12 V connection. Still when I initiate the GoTo the ASI Air restarts.

I have also tried to initiate the GoTo from another Deive and the same thing happens. It restarts and I am not able to GoTo my Target.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

The mount can draw a lot of current when slewing, more than the 3A maximum the port supplies. When this happens, the voltage to the Air will drop and cause it to reboot. You should use a Y-splitter on the power supply and provide separate power to the mount and air.

I bought another 12v 5a power adapter and so far this seems to have fixed the problem. I have only tested during the day. I will take it out tonight and see if everything is fixed.
