When doing a polar alignment with my AM5 and ASIAIR Plus, I notice that after PA succeeds, I have to go to home position (mount facing true north) first, before trying to slew to a bright star to begin focusing. If I do not do this, my slews are not accurate and the mount moves to a region close to the star I want to focus on, but several degrees from it. If I slew first to home, then all my go-to and tracking works great for the remainder of the night.
I think I first noticed this problem after updating to the mount's latest firmware, 1.3. Is this a known issue, or is there something I am doing that is causing this?
Thanks,
