Hi folks, I am a new ASIAir Plus / AM5 user here. I have a question about how ASIAir Plus handles a meridian flip. My understanding from reading other posts on this forum, is that the way a meridian flip is handled is that a second GOTO command is issued after the target crosses the meridian and programmable wait times are met. My question is, if I choose a target and issue a GOTO pre-meridian flip, and then I nudge the mount to frame the target as I want, is the nudged offset maintained after the meridian flip or is the original GOTO target centered again. In other words, does the second post meridian crossing GOTO command use the original target GOTO coordinates or the nudged offset adjusted pre-flip coordinates? I would have expected the later but I watched a tutorial where they laboriously acquired the pre-flip framing adjusted offset coordinates and created a new custom target based on the offset, then used that custom target for the pre-flip GOTO command. That seems burdensome and unnecessary just to manage a meridian flip although it is useful if you want to come back to the exact same framing offset in a future session.
