Severe performance drop with newest ASI120MC driver

Having a rather weak Intel-Atom netbook with only 1 gig of ram, I usually prefer SharpCap as capturing software over FireCapture. The newest driver (V2.1.0.326) though literally cuts performance down to half at any selected ROI. I´ve already reinstalled the last version to return to my former fps. Can anyone else confirm this sudden drop of fps? OS is a Win7 Pro (SP1).

Hi Sam,

FC delivers a very nice performance with both drivers, but with only 1 gb of RAM available, using a java script based capturing-software is not quite highly recommended. FC captures about 90 frames per second until it nearly begins to freeze after 20-25 seconds, because my system just runs out of RAM. That´s why I wanted to stick with SharpCap in the first place which is rather non-greedy after memory. I´ve returned to the last driver for now.

Btw, what do you mean by the old SDK? The new SDK ist implemented in the last FC 2.3 so you don´t have to extra install it any longer, right?

Disable all RAM caching in FireCapture. Also without it the HDD may be limiting the speed too.

And Java is not JavaScript :)
