ASI174mm 1sec exposure limit using ASIAIR Plus

Has anyone found a solution for this issue of exposure failure when trying to use exposures above1 second with the ASIAIR plus? I would really appreciate any help with this problem as it's also not allowing solving to perform object centering as the exposure can't be set below 2secs for automatic object centering. Its very frustrating. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Does the camera fail long exposures only when you control it from an ASIAIR? If the camera works when it is connected to a desktop or laptop computer, try a powered hub in between the camera and ASIAIR.

And, whatever you do, do not use the USB cable that comes from ZWO. Get one from Amazon.

Ok, i tried various good quality short length usb cables. I also tried a powered hub but unfortunately no success. Still reporting exposure failure above 1 sec with the asi174mm.
I have tested the cam with my PC and can use longer exposures without issue. Additionally i have tried a ASI224mc with the ASIAiR Plus and this also works fine with longer exposures. I am completely stumped.
Any thoughts on why it's just happening with the ASI 174?
I have seen quite a few posts with the same issue so would be fantastic if anyone has discovered a resolution. I really want to use this cam due to the larger sensor size.

Pete, I am having a similar issue with my 174mc. I did manage to find that exposures over 60 seconds work just fine. I get an exposure failure message only for 2, 3, 5, 10, 30 and 60 seconds - weird. The ASIair plus app shows 12.1 volts from a 10a power supply (not a ZWO ps) and I can get exposures at any length when connecting to a PC and using Studio. Tried every usb3 cable I have, but no luck so far. I put in a ticket over 5 days ago, but only see a “solving” bug report response. BTW, I’m just testing the brand new ASIair indoors pointing at a wall 20’ away. I don’t see how that might be relevant to this issue, though. I would be curious to here how you or others solved this.
