Hello dear Asiair Team.
I recently tried to guide in one direction in DEC as my mount does not handle well the automatic mode. I managed to divide by 2 my RMS using this method. But it does not work in combination with Dithering : as soon as the dither function hits, the mode is changed back to auto (making it very difficult to recover).
Perhaps you could explain how this 2 work together and if you could update it so it goes back to the direction selected after the dither or the other way around : it does dither in the direction specified only.
I had one successfull dither that worked and did not change the direction - perhaps this was indeed in the south direction (as shown in the screenshots) ?
Example : guiding goes well in South direction
Then the dither happened and it goes back to "Auto" (while having a lot difficulties)$
In this specific case, it did not changed the direction and was very quick to recover
