Carry a AM5 Full assembled ?

Hello,

I have a question about the AM5.
Is it allowed to carry the mount with a telescope mounted on it?

I ask because in my case it would be totally practical to leave everything assembled and then in clear skies only have to put everything out.

The telescope + camera weighs about 10 kg.

Would be great if someone could answer this or send me a link if the topic has already been discussed.

aax1980 Sure you can carry your scope/camera/ Am5 mount all at once. For me, i can carry scope/camera separate from AM5, as its easier for me.

aax1980 It's totally OK. You can got everything prepared once and put them out whenever you want.
Just one tips: you should use counterweight when AM5 carry over 13kg.

Not sure what you mean. Like the scope attached to the mount and the mount attached to the tripod? I do that all the time. For example carry the fully assembled rig from the back yard to the roof.

To clarify, the question refers to carrying the entire rig (mount + telescope) fully assembled at once.

For other mounts (such as the Skywatcher GTi), it is explicitly forbidden to carry them assembled, as mentioned in the manual. This is why I was curious whether there are any guidelines for the AM5.
