ASI Mount unable to make connection to NINA and PHD

I’m literally at my whits end trying to solve this.

I have two PCs, one seems to work ok, the other that I need for the AM5 simply refuses to connect both NINA and PHD at the same time, ASI Mount server refuses the 2nd connection. Both NINA and PHD can connect separately without issue. I have verified 100s of settings and reinstalled everything several times. I have no idea what to try next.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Rob7980 I have no idea with your confuse because you say "Both NINA and PHD can connect separately without issue”, maybe you can ask help from NINA or PHD.

What version of the ASCOM ASI Mount driver/software do you have? IIRC, one of the early versions had a bug that caused what you're seeing.

It’s been reinstalled 3 times and was pulled fresh from the website, it’s 6.5.12.0. NINA reports it as 6.5.10.0 though. Mount firmware reports upto date. It’s the same as the version that’s on an identical MeLE mini that is working, so I tried copying the entire folder over, thinking maybe a library was corrupted, still doing the same thing. I’ve re-installed the ASCOM platform, NINA and PHD2 and checked as many settings as I could think of including the permissions and firewall, I can’t find any differences. The dotNet platform was installed along with it when it was required as they are new machines setup on each specific scope…

Thank you, one machine works the other doesn’t. All ASCOM devices have been verified working except the ZWO ASCOM driver… There is some dependency that’s missing that doesn’t allow the ZWO driver to accept 2 connections. So there would have to be a problem with PHD and separately with NINA as neither can connect with a connection already established. That’s highly doubtful, and ASCOM is working for 2 other mounts without issue.

The reported problem is this: With the AM5 connected to a computer they cannot, at the same time, have PHD2 and NINA connected to the mount. This is apparently due to the ZWO driver - not PHD2 nor NINA - that doesn't allow this to happen.

One further test:

You said you have two PCs. Let's call them PC 1 and PC 2.

Let's say PC 1 is the computer you have connected the AM5 to and are having trouble running NINA and PHD2 at the same time.

Have you tried connecting the AM5 to PC 2 to see if you can run NINA and PHD2 at the same time on that computer?
