EAF gets stuck on Esprit80

Hi. I recently bought an EAF for my Esprit 80. I bought the takahashi plate (or whatever it is called), and it fits perfectly.

I seem to have another problem: When I tighten the coupling onto the focusing rod in the focuser, it gets completely jammed. I cannot turn the focuser what so ever. The weird thing is that when the screws are not tightened, it turns pretty smoothly.

And for the record: I am positive I did not tighten the focus knob. I am certain, I use the right screw and the right hole.

ralleha I cannot turn the focuser what so ever.

Do you mean control the EAF in the software to turn the focuser, or by your hand?
EAF does not have a clutch, so can not turn the focuser manually after you tighten the coupling

Hi,
I haven't even mounted the focus motor yet.

When I just put in the coupling, it runs smoothly. When I tighten the coupling onto the focus rod, it gets jammed - I cannot move it at alle except if I use a lot of force.

And again: I know it sounds like I tighten the focus lock, but I don't. If you look at the video, I posted, you will see I explained the problem as I show it on the telescope.

ralleha Thanks, I suspected the shaft size on the flexible coupling is too big for your focuser shaft, it stuck inside the focuser when you tighten the screws.
We have four sizes of flexible coupling in the box, Measure the diameter of your focuser shaft, then choose the fit one.
