I am contemplating a few different things to reduce the amount of imaging time. I have a Gen1 1600 mm-c and the Gen1 36mm filters on an 80mm Stellarvue and get great results. In my light-polluted backyard, I need approximately 6-8 hours of data per channel to get usable data. Ive considered a 8" RASA at f/2 but I know that at faster speeds there is a band-shift of 1 or more nm in the light and with very narrow band filters such as the Triad quad-band you need a different filter. I assume that my Gen 1 ZWO filters at 7nm bandpass would be fine but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with these and the RASA. I am also considering a better ZWO OSC camera and the Triad Quad-band and stick with my stellarvue but this wouldn't reduce the imaging time significantly. Or would it?
