After using the Seestar for weeks now, I am enjoying the S50 tremendously because of its optics, simplicity and the almost instant satisfaction from the rendered results it generates. As an astrophotographer for a few years now, I want to list a few improvements in advanced mode that can make this the ultimate portable AP setup:
1) support use of a wedge to transform this into an equatorial mount telescope to minimize field rotation with such a long sensor
2) more refined position adjustments
3) flexible scheduler to set total enhancement time and sequential target planning
4) better enhancement programming: instead of saving every raw frame, enhance n frames before saving data and repeat until total integration time. This will reduce number of saved files yet gives more precision with external stackers.
5) Allow user configured gain and time between each enhancement
6) Allow use of IR pass filter to take advantage of the high IR response of the sensor.
