Anyone have suggestions or ever experience something similar?
My setup suddenly stopped working correctly. I am using ASI120MC, PHD2 software, iOptron ieq45 mount, ST-4 guide cable. I have rebooted my PC several times, swapped cables, reset PHD2 to defaults settings, etc. and I wonder if my camera's autoguide port is broken.
When I start the PHD2 calibration process, RA moves west the 25 distance, but then does not return to the east and calibration fails. PHD2 manual guide function will move RA west and DEC south, but the east and north buttons do not activate the mount motors.
I ruled out mount (iOptron ieq45) and ST-4 cable problems by disconnecting the cable at the guide camera side, shorted the pins one at a time and got motor movement for all 4 directions. Through process of elimination I think it has to be some weird PHD2 bug or a guide camera (ZWO ASI120MC) defect.
