I was in Monument Valley Utah for the annular eclipse this weekend. On Friday night, with super dark/stable skies I had a great time observing Saturn, Jupiter and other targets. AM5 Mount App worked great.
Saturday morning, calibrated to home position and asked AM5 Mount App to GoTo Sun. Got the usual warning about staring at the sun, then the mount swung around and pointed nearly 180 degrees AWAY from the sun... pointed into the ground to the west!!
Home position worked correctly. Time/GPS location were correct. Telescope attached to mount in correct orientation (worked fine Friday night with other night objects.)
I switched to ASIAIR App with my ASIAIR-mini that was attached. It worked fine, so I got my photos!! But it appears some weird AM5 Mount App bug? Any ideas?
