any way to update the libgphoto2 library in ASIAir?

ZWO has abandoned DSLR users....that much is clear. DSLR support is dependent on libgphoto2...an open source project on Github. they've updated to support many modern cameras such as Canon R7, R10, R6m2 etc....but ZWO clearly will not update their firmware to include these new libraries.

i dont want a dedicated astrocam. i bought an am5 and asiair pro and was enjoying them with my canon r6. i bought the r6m2 a year ago and havent been able to use them since. support is dependent on libgphoto2....which supports my camera. ZWO just refuses to include the latest library. there is NOTHING for ZWO to test....the current firmware simply doesnt recognise my cameras usb id. ALL ZWO HAS TO DO is recompile with the Sep 2023 libgphoto2.

WHY wont they support this product anymore????

anyways....how can we 'hack' the firmware to do this ourselves? ZWO support is nonexistent so what can we do?

theres NOTHING new about the Canon R6 MarkII as far as ASIAir compatability other than the freaking USB ID. CURRENT BUILDS OF LIBGPHOTO2 HAVE IT.

Hara hey genius, i bought it knowing it wasnt at that time but knew what library asi uses and that that library would be updated which it was.

i am a customer who paid ZWO thousand therefore have every right to 'whine'.
