ASI1600MC-COOL Lunar Video Scan Lines

Hello.

Is it possible to use an ASI1600MC-COOL to capture lunar video without (prominent) horizontal scan lines in the video (both live and stacked)? I cannot increase the exposure beyond 4ms; the detector will be saturated otherwise. Gain is zero.

I have no experience uploading an image on this forum (help appreciated) but here is a link to the JPEG produced by ASIVideoStack_V1.9.1 (64 bit):

The individual video frames exhibit the same artifacts. I previously neglected to mention the camera is connected to a USB2 port on the computer. When used for deep-sky imaging, camera images appear fine.

In this case, could you take a raw16 frame in fits format and send it to us for analysis?

jimv That's strange, the lines only appears in high light area, dark background looks fine.
Did you try different 12V power supplies and USB cables?

jimv Sorry i did not make it clear, i mean a single frame, not the fit file after stack.

I believe I did post a single frame (in FITS format) and not the result of a stack of frames. Could you please explain why you think otherwise?

Also, I neglected to ask why you are suggesting I change power supplies since the cooler is off when capturing video. It is my understanding the power supply need not even be connected particularly when capturing video. Is this incorrect?

Finally, regarding the prominent horizontal banding visible on the moon disk (but not so evident on the dark sky), I have been doing some daytime videoing which clearly shows the horizontal banding exists across the entire sensor frame.
