Mating ASI2600MM and ZWO Filter Wheel

I’m trying to mate the ZWO ASI2600MM Pro and ZWO 7-Position Electronic Filter Wheel for 2" filters. I have seen that some people have bolted the camera tilt plate directly to the filter housing. While I can see how this will work, this configuration would be much harder to transport.
On the other hand, I can use an M42M-M54M adapter. This would allow me to easily separate the camera and filter while adding 2mm to the back focus.
Are either or both of these methods recommended to connect these components? Is one preferred? Is there an alternate preferred method?

I recently upgraded from OSC 2600MC to a Mono rig using the 2600MM and ZWO 7 x 2

No issues at all bolting the EFW directly to the tilt plate . I did use the supplied darkening gaskets either side of the EFW

No issues at all with light leakage. I even captured my Dark library indoors during the day without the need to go in a dark room or use a black towel or cloth

I use 8” and 10” Imaging Newts so I used the supplied 2mm spacer and 16.5mm extension adapter to achieve 55mm back focus with my coma corrector

Thank you so much. I did not use the black gasket, could not figure it out what was for. This helps a lot.

Of course the only issue with bolting to the tilt plate is that you can no longer access the screws to adjust the tiltplate.
