How to enter Main Camera etc

Having (at last) sucessfully activated my new ASIair Plus, I have now moved on to entering the location / equipment data on the first page OK. However, when I get to the Main Camera / Guide Camera / EFW etc the drop down menu is blank and I cannot enter anything manually either - how do enter this information?

I do not have the equipment connected at the moment and wonder of this is the problem?

You won't be able to select anything without anything connected.

Have you tried searching YouTube? There are video guides out there for you to watch on this.

Thanks, I figured that might be the problem - though thought manual input might be possible too.

Grateful for the video links too, which I'll watch tomorrow.
