Well I have that camera and an ASIAIR Plus.
I power the ASIAIR using ZWO power supply

I power the camera via the power output of the ASIAIR.
I power my mount - HEQ5 Pro- with its own power supply. Do not power your mount via the ASIAIR.
I connect the camera to a usb 3.0 port on the ASIAIR Plus.
I connect the mount to a usb 2.0 port on the ASIAIR Plus.
That's all my equipment (I use a Celestron Aluminium Dew Shield for my C8 SCT).
Could you set up the same way with only mount and camera connected (no dew heaters etc) and test if you get the exposure failed on both usb 3.0 ports?
Also - set the focal length to 0, go into Preview Mode, take a single exposure, and tap plate solve. If it succeeds it'll set the focal length. Go with what it sets.
As well - check the Centre EXP Time in mount settings. Mine is set to 5s. You might need to increase this as well depending on your filters.
