Version of SeeStar App for Windows

Are there plans to write a version of the SeeStar app for Microsoft Windows. I don’t want to have to (and I suspect most of your other SeeStar users) go through figuring out how to emulate an IOS environment in order to install SeeStar. Thank you

I would like to add my strong vote to the request to have Seestar s50 work on windows pc.
It is far more advantageous and useful to work with mouse and keyboard and on a large screen instead of on a tiny, vertically oriented cellular or tablet.
Yes, the app is very good and the telescope works very well as advertised. But the severe display limitations on a cellular phone detracts from it. Especially for seniors....

melachrino Use Stellarium for Windows, both the stand alone program and the browser based version are free and miles above anything SkyAtlas can do, it's not even funny when you start comparing the two. I only use SkyAtlas for the final manual GoTo step and triggering the image capture, I do everything else in Stellarium. If I could control the S50 from Stellarium (it works with other GoTo telescopes but not the S50) I would have absolutely no need for SkyAtlas.

Yes it would be great to have a pc app to control and work with the Seestar.

Seestar works reliably under LdPlayer9 on Win 10. Network parameters and virtual GPS must be set correctly. The first time it takes a while to connect, but then it works OK.

As I have mentioned in a previous post, there is work in progress to control the S50 from a Windows environment using a daemon written in Python. In particular, there is a proof of concept showing how to use this to control the S50 from Stellarium, I have tried it and it works, but it is a work in progress.

starnet yes I use SSC sometimes mostly for scheduling and shutdown… great work. Also use the twilight times to help with scheduling

Yesterday, Seestar_ALP 2.0 was released. New feature included is "live view".
That allows to control the S50 via a local web-application in your browser and even see the output. Works on Windows, Linux or MacOS.

Tried opening the port on windows 10, but still getting 'refused to connect'. Suggestions?
Edit: the port was wrong s/b 5430. How do we set Seestar so it has an IP address? Station mode? Is there a full
set of instructions for setting up to use this on windows?
Edit2: Got it to work with the app, using Docker Readme but can't get it to connect in Stellarium, it hangs at "Refresh devices" Does something else need to be running?

If you haven't tried Seestar_alp yet, you should, it seems to work and it does everything the ZWO Seestar app doesn't. Sure, it is a work in progress, but at least there is progress. In theory there is mosaic, scheduling, and all sorts of interesting other features, definitely worth trying. You can even control multiple S50s remotely.

starnet This is a screenshot taken in Windows of the live view from the S50 as I am posting this. I made the S50 point to a target (Scheat, Beta Pegasi) and start capturing without using the SeeStar app. At all, everything was done from Windows using Seestar_alp:

Got the app working, just can't connect seestar to Stellarium. Have you got an instruction for connecting seestar to Stellarium? Do you have to have something else running first?
Note: Running on Windows 10. Can't find instructions for running indigo_server on windows.
