Hi,
In the process of collimating my telescope, I defocus on a star and take an image. Currently, it appears that the defocused stars all have a shadow likely caused by the prism in my OAG. I believe I have the prism pushed up as high as it goes. It is properly above the long side of my full frame sensor (camera ASI6200MM).
I am using Innovations Foresight's StarWave AI tool to collimate my reflector telescope (AGO 17" iDK).
If I can't remove the prism and its stalk I will need to take the OAG out of the imaging train, redo my backspace, collimate and then restore the imaging train. Given that the OAG is currently bolted onto my filter wheel, this is not a simple task.
Does anyone know if it is possible to safely remove the prism and its stalk from a ZWO OAG-L and if so how ?
Thanks,
Kevin
