I think we have the same issue but I also think there is a fix, at least on my system. You should have an adapter that has male threads on both side since both the 2600 and the FW have female threads. So first, remove that adapter. Next remove the cover on the FW facing the 2600. Once off, you can now screw the cover directly to the 2600 and the holes line up perfectly. The you just need to reattach the cover to the FW assembly. If you use the OAG, then you do the same procedure twice, with the OAG positioned between the FW and the telescope (keeps the guider from losing signal from the filters).
