Help for ASI130MM camera

Hi,

I have a newbie question that maybe you can help me with. My camera is ASI130MM and I am learninh how to use it. When I connect the camera to my PC and launch FireCapture even without attaching the camera to a telescope, I am getting a flickering preview image with grayish horizontal bars and some spots on it...

All that instead of seeing a grayscale image of myself and the room I am in...

I tried different gain, gamma and exposure settings, but nothing helps.

I also tried the same in SharpCap and... same results :(

Am I doing something wrong? Is it a normal behavior or something bad with my camera?

My OS is Windows 8 and I am using latest ASI130MM drivers.

Hi,

Without a lens you will not see anything.

Attach to the scope or to a lens, and focus it, then you will get an image
