Hello, we are using AM3 for automatic targeting of the NCP.
We are using the mount AltAz from a Linux system using LX200 control set.
We discovered that we can't sync the mount close to pole, even with AltAz, and we do have error when pointing it.
Then I remember that it would be an epoch issue !
We use J2000 for our RADEC handling. I point different points, do an astrometrical reduction (J2000) and sync the mount.
I can't specify my epoch with the LX200 control, so my question is : is it expecting JNow or J2000 coordinates ?
