There is an ios ap called observer pro that lets you scan the horizon with your phone to map the altitude of the surrounding obstacles. When uou use this feature the phone camera turns on and you are instructed to slowly pan 360 degrees from where you setup your scope and you trace the horizon with a circle in the center of the screen. This means that your house, treeline, or whatever other obstacle is traced, gets mapped into a latitude and longitude mask that allows you to determine the exact time a target you wish to image will be above you treeline or your house.
Additionally you can save multiple maps from several locations.
This would be a great feature for asi air in any of the modes, even polar alignment. Plan mode would be able to switch targets based on horizon mapping instead of a crude clock system.
Please consider this zwo, download observer pro, go to the sites feature, make note of how it works. We really need this feature in asi air!
This feature would need to be done during daytime so the map would need to be able to be saved in the asi air ap without the asi air being turned on or connected!
