Yes, that could be an issue, but the thing is, the firmware comes with the app and is not downloaded on the fly if needed, the Seestar S50 is connected via WIFI and in the scenario of using an WIFI only device, Tablet, there's no internet connectivity (that's why I was able to get it updated up to 1.83 with the help of a user who didn't want to loose the experimental features of the app, which were removed with later releases). It's the latest version available through the google app store, 1.15.0, I didn't had an earlier version installed.
What puzzles me is the supports team request for log files, which aren't available, accessible, to end users...
