It appears that the lens is now sold through the ZWO store, https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/product/cs-lens-2-8mm-12mm-f1-4
There are several versions of the lenses with the same technical characteristics on their face.
My question is whether ZWO does the quality control and selection, so that it gets the better samples for its customers. The other question is what is the image quality. Does it make sense to move to the higher-resolution lenses, such as 3MP or 5MP from this 1.3-2MP lens ? The lens is positioned for capturing meteors, what else can it be used for, such as imaging constellations or nebulas at a higher resolution ? Or at a longer focal length ? (The maximum focal length one can get is 50 or 75 mm.)
P.S. I was not the only one who was considering to use the C- and CS-mount lenses for astrophotography. Here is an article where the author shares his experience, https://rk.edu.pl/en/lenses-ds-astrophotography/
