I, like many, have been preparing for the Solar Eclipse next month. Part of this prep is reading: "How to Photograph the Solar Eclipses" by Alan Dyer (a very good book for learning a lot about photographing the eclipse). In this book there is a section on ASIAIR where the following is stated: ...The ASIAIR App "can set the exposures over a wide range, from 1/1000th second to as long as you wish. But it cannot fire the shutter faster than about once every 5 to 6 seconds. .......that’s much too slow for a total eclipse. You will likely miss the diamond rings, and perhaps only get a handful of shots during totality.”
Is there anything that I am missing in using my ASIAIR? I don't want to be hampered by 5-6 second cycles when I only have 3.5 minutes of totality.
Thoughts? Help?
