The ASI071MC-COOL is my main astrophotography camera. and has always worked well. I use it with the ASIAIR Plus.
Recently, I wanted to test out the ASIAIR support for Sony Alpha cameras. So, I installed a Sony a6000 and tried it. That was successful, but when I switched back to my ASI071MC I got a problem very similar to amp glow (which I have never had with this camera).
Due to the camera swap, I thought it might be an optical train issue (like a light leak) so I removed the camera from the optical train and put the dust plug in the end of it. Snapped a pic and the same issue appeared.
Ive also tried swapping out USB 3.0 and power cable. No joy.
I also reset the ASIAIR and reinstalled current firmware. No joy.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Suggestions?
