As a 3D Printer owner and a new Seestar S50 owner, I obviously went on to print some accessories. While doing that I think I came up with my own that I didn't see anyone else thought of. I took the model of a visual sight for Scenery mode and designed a green laser mount on its base. I use a quite powerful green laser with an 18650 lithium battery that I bought on Ali Express a while ago to point constellations to family and friends. The beam is very bright at night and seems to go to infinity (a few kilometres in reality). So I thought that mounting it on Seestar would allow me to point where exactly we are looking at in the night sky, to mentally connect the phone/tablet image to the actual sky. I also added 11mm rail to mount a small rifle scope I had lying around, because why not? Not sure it will be useful to visually check out the area the Seestar is pointing to, but maybe it will.
Just wanted to share the idea. I can share the model, but obviously, each laser will be different, and the mount is not universal. An 11mm scope rail is also quite exotic. It's used on small-caliber rifles. But it's easy to design for your specific kind of laser. There is a slot on the other side of a laser mount, making the tube flexible, and I just slide it in until the button fits the hole on the top of the tube.
I have also printed the Solar Finder, Bahtinov Mask, Lens Cap, and Dew Shield tube. Is there anything else
that could be useful? Any other accessories I should print?
