I am having an issue with cord wrap, even though I am only accessing part of the sky and NEVER cross the Meridian either north or south. I posted this in a Cloudy Nights forum recently......
I leave my Seestar connected all night to an extension cord, as the battery cannot last more than 5 hours with dew heater on continuously. I view only a SMALL part of the sky from my apartment balcony - 200 deg (SSW) to 340 deg (WNW) only, and from 20 deg to 70 deg altitude. In this limited area the S50 will sometimes wrap the cord completely around the unit, sometimes not. How can I set up the Seestar so that it will not wrap the cord ? Sometimes when moving just a few degrees from one abject to the next the SeeStar will go around almost a full 360 degrees in azimuth to move over just an actual couple degrees in the sky! I tend to start the Seestar SETUP PROCESS and Horizontal alignment at around the WEST (270 degrees) point in the sky. Maybe a future APP UPGRADE could include settings for VISIBLE SKY AREA ? or maybe you have another solution - THANK YOU .
